Buffalo Mountain, OKClosest mountain to DFW. South facing ridge, 1000 feet high. About 3-4 hours north in southeast Oklahoma, near the town of Talihena. Hearne, TXHome of Austin Air Sports. Site of the 2000 Lone Star Championships. The 2001 Lone Star Championships will be the USHGA US Nationals. Aerotow and payout winch, great flatland soaring. Several world triangle speed records were set there in 2000. |
