NTHPA MEETING MINUTES
11/2/2004 at Pugsley’s

5 members present ( we thought everyone was still out voting for President):
Present & accounted for:    Warren,  Greg, Gary S.,  Dave & Linda,  Keith

Minutes read from last meeting and accepted.

Old Business:  
1. Buffalo land discussion about the west end for sale.  Various discussions- nothing finalized… to be continued.
2. BOD decision:  Regions 6 and 11 will be combined into 1 region after the next election.  This is due to pilot numbers and the lack of activity (attendance at BOD) by several successive Region 6 Directors.
3. Parachute clinic still being planned with Betty Pfiffer by Dave for the winter.   No exact date yet.
4. TFFA moneys put into the NTHPA treasury.

New Business:
1. Nominations for 2005 officers this month and to be voted on next meeting.
Nominations:    President:   Dan Shoemaker, 
        V. President:  Warren Puckett
        Treasurer:  Gary Scheer
        Secretary/ Web Master:   Pete Hammer
These positions will continue to have nominees until the vote at the Dec meeting.

2.   Awards:   It was motioned that we revive the annual awards for our members.  Nominations thus far:
    Sportsmanship:  Tony
    XC:   Greg
    Golden Hammer/ Aluminum structure:
    Phoenix Award:
    Biwingual Award:
    Member of the Year:  John Russell
Post further nominations on the group:

3.  Greg C.  has found a new tow site south of Mansfield that is 6000 feet long.
4. Warren brought up discussion about donating older non-flying but good condition to local flight museums for publicity and planting seeds into young minds.
5. Everyone please submit a story with pictures to Pete for web site publishing.
6. The December meeting will be a Christmas Party at Greg Chastain’s house at the Eagle nest airport on the second Tuesday  ( Dec 14 ) at 7:00pm.    We will elect the officers for next year,  finalize the awards and have a hang gliding party !!    Everyone Please be there.
