NTHPA  MEETING MINUTES
By Warren Puckett;  President

10/7/2004
1.    8 people attending.
2.    No treasury report
3.    Our club received the TFFA disbursement  money.   $1825.74  After discussion it will be placed in the treasury and applied toward any future efforts at Buffalo Mountain for land acquisition.   Dave made the motion to devise an action plan to acquire the needed lands at Buffalo.   Dan Shoemaker is still working on the title problems for the landing field.
4.    Greg informed the club that the West end of Buffalo Mtn is now for sale.   This includes the  ranch house, bottom landing area, old launch and top landing area.   $250K is asking price.  Discussion of how to raise money and divvy it out follow.   Nothing decided at this meeting.  Investigations will continue.
5.    Dave announced that Bill Bennett of the original Delta Wing Kites company died in a trike accident in Arizona today.   Memory discussions were shared.
6.    Andy Austin announced that he was being deployed to Iraq for 18 months to train the new Iraq army.   Best wishes were given to him.
7.    Dave Broyles had a BOD meeting summary.   Of concern is that the USHGA executive committee has taken most of the operating funds from the organization and placed it in the USHGA Foundation treasury.   Operating abilities in the national office may suffer due to this.
8.    Dave has been in contact with Betty Pfiffer and has a tentative schedule for the winter parachute packing clinic in either Feb or March.   Schedule depends upon the Allen School system and Betty finding a mutual available date.   Targeted cost is $35 / person.   Betty may be training some for parachute packing riggers rating.
9.    It was discussed and passed that Tuesday would be investigated for the next meeting night to help attendance.   Some have classes and other things they need to do on Thursdays.   I will check with Pugsley's and notify the membership of the change.
10.    Send any and all stories / pictures to Pete Hammer for web site update.
