March 4, 1999 NTHGA Meeting Minutes, by temporary Secretary; Warren Puckett
- Meeting started at 7:30 with 15 members and 3 family members present: 1 visitor - Kale Kabacheck , hang glider pilot from Kansas City Mo. (here temporarily with SW Airlines and Greg's guest)
- Business:
- Minutes were read and accepted from February Meeting.
- Greg Chastain has obtained the meeting location at Southwest Airlines at Love Field in Dallas. After discussion, Andy made the motion and Dave seconded it with no dissenting votes to move the meeting to the new location starting next month. See article for details and location map.
- Parachute clinic is on for March 20th 5PM - 10PM; Story Elementary in Allen; cost $10/person Contact Dave Broyles for details
- L/D Contest at Dallas Levees on March 27th at the Inwood / Hampton exit area. Keep a low profile and smile if the police show up.
- Awards were delayed because the President forgot them while dreaming of windsurfing.
- Gary Scheers treasurer report: $694.14 and materials on hand before the newsletter costs.
- Warren reported on the newsletter being on the club web page. The motion by Dave Broyles to discontinue the printing of mass newsletters was discussed and passed. Hard copies of the newsletter will still be printed and mailed to any club member without internet access. Only one member present needed this service. Any others are encouraged to contact Warren to get on the copy list. The national organization and the mag publisher will get theirs by snail mail also. This will save the club an estimated $650 per year in printing and mail costs. The additional benefit is that members can view or print their own
